Some years ago, I was in a training/leadership seminar. The speaker spoke about having a personal mission statement. Sounds like a good idea on paper. Feels like the right thing to spend a bit of time and reflect on periodically. So, here’s mine!
• To make those better around me by constantly bettering myself.
• To be the best father for my children. To be curious about their interests, to be empathetic to their point of view and to always be present for them.
• To be best leader possible, to think of other’s interests before mine and to be as open to coaching as for those who receive.
• Be Present. To always have my feet grinding, working hard to be the best in the art of leadership.
• Be Kind, Always. This is simple.
