Huntwood Cabinets Showroom In A Book
In the midst of the biggest economic downturn since the 1930’s, home construction and remodeling businesses were down 8 fold in 2008-10 in the US. Huntwood was continuing to grow in Canada, and we collaborated to bring the Huntwood showroom to potential buyers in Canada with this 84 page, hard case bound book. Printed full color throughout with flood UV for added durability, I managed the sales process, color correction and vendor management with the binding process to make sure this showroom in a book was a hit.

40th Anniversary Raiderettes Retrospective
Lots of silver, black and high expectations on this 64 page perfect bound project with the Oakland Raiders that had Mr. Davis’ personal attention. I handled the estimating, ordering, engineering, management of vendors for binding and project management communication with customer.

Tom’s of Maine / Sheryl Crow CD Insert
Printed as an insert for Sheryl Crow’s 2010 album 100 Miles From Memphis, this diskette was printed on seed paper that contains multiple types of wildflowers that sprout when moistened and planted in dirt.

Whitworth University 120th Anniversary Reflection
A 120 year reflection of Whitworth University’s history. 240 pages + fly sheets + hard book bound covers + dust jacket, this project required multiple rounds of proofs for copy and color correction.
Thinking Cap in Spokane handled composition and layout while I managed sales, estimating, engineering, outsource of binding in Arkansas, and delivery to the University Bookstore one week before the graduation ceremony.

Spring Tools 2020 Catalog & Web Site
In conjunction with the sales manager and the CEO at Spring Tools, I helped refresh their product catalog for 2020. I did all of the product shots, photoshop work, graphic design and managed the print and fulfillment process.

NRCS Field Guide Handbook
Use Case: The National Resource and Conservation District in Eastern Washington needed a rugged and durable field guide for easy identification of native and invasive species. Printed on non-tearable and waterproof synthetic paper, the challenges of ensuring the ink adheres properly to the substrate, reducing static charge so that the 146 pages collate correctly in bindery and punching/binding in the proper order was an engineering challenge. I handled the sales, estimating, engineering, customer communication and proof approval, production and shipping.

In conjunction with the designers at BHW1, we worked together to find the right colors, coatings, substrates and label size/shape to come up with an eye-popping label for the wonderful folks at Latah Creek Winery. This is one of my favorite projects because I was able to bring my creativity for rich blacks on digital presses and unique coatings to frame the wine with beautiful art. You can feel the texture of the coatings on the label from the pictures!

One of the bummers about working in I.T. Project Management is that due to the nature of the business, talking about them presents a security risk. So, I choose not to show pictures or talk about my IT Project Management projects in any detail. Do know that I have years of experience focused mostly on availability and uptime IT scenarios in sectors ranging from Banks and Credit Unions, manufacturing, government, and retail in Windows, Linux, and Mac on prem, hybrid and full cloud environments. And a few projects around IT security.
